Welcome to the Alcohol Shopper Tables section. For centuries man has asked the timeless question, "Which type of alcohol is the least expensive?" Now we give you the answer. Our tables section compares the relative cost of ounces of pure alcohol between drinks (Note: an ounce of pure alcohol is approx. 2 shots of 80 proof liquor, or 2 beers).
General Guide (Dollar per Ounce of Alcohol)
Values | What it Means |
---|---|
0.4 - 0.6 |
The standard college kegs (Beast Ice), and the lowest end handles, these drinks will get you drunk for the absolute minimum price. |
0.6 - 1.0 |
Many of the lower end handles come into this category: Popov, Five O Clock, Mohawk. These will get you drunk for a low price. |
1.0 - 1.3 |
Starting to get a little pricey. Remember you can really replace the handles of high class liquors like Smirnoff down with bottom of the barrel Crystal Palace if you are mixing it. Avoid this category unless you are celebrating. |
1.3 - 1.6 |
Way too pricey... this category is the type that Alcohol Shopper was designed to eliminate from college drinking entirely. Girls can SOMETIMES get away with it, maybe. |
1.6+ |
Eliminate from your college drinking vocabulary. |
