Montefalco Sagrantino - Bellafonte Collenottolo 2015

92 Points, Wine Advocate: “This 13,000-bottle release is a great discovery for me, and in fact, I had never heard of this estate before now. [This wine] brings big intensity and broad shoulders with large swathes of blackberry and tarry fruit. This is a very big wine that needs a pairing with rare steak for sure. Darkly concentrated and packed tight with lots of fruity intensity, Collenottolo offers spice, dried earth and toast, all with good balance. The tannins are well-integrated." (July 2021)
