Gordon And Macphail - Private Collection Benromach 1982 Burg

This Gordon & MacPhail Private Collection Benromach, bottled just shy of 40 years, was matured 19 years in a sherry cask before finishing for a further 20 years in a Burgundy hogshead. At 60.2% ABV, it has held its strength unusually well. The Benromach Burgundy bottles are a testament to Gordon & MacPhail's peerless maturation programs, not just for the boldness of flavour carried perfectly at high strength, but the balance between the original distillate and red wine maturation, which has not overwhelmed the final product.
